Surrounded by old guitar pedals and cheap recording gear, Nick Watts makes scrappy, lo-fi rock & roll and drones in his living room in London.
After several years fronting a band (including an EP release in the USA followed by a short tour there), Nick began recording on his own at home. The emphasis is on simple – sometimes just one chord – yet well-crafted songs. These are then fed through fuzz boxes, drum machines and vintage amps to produce something both familiar and new.
Influences:The Velvet Underground, the Jesus & Mary Chain, The Dandy Warhols, The Strokes, Spacemen 3, The Gris Gris, Spiritualized, The Modern Lovers, Death in Vegas, Patti Smith, Wooden Shjips, The Rolling Stones, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sonic Youth & Suicide.
